BIO-FUSION
Bio-Fusion (B-FUSE) has been developed as a bio-based dust suppressant and road stabiliser, providing cost-effective solutions to airborne dust as a result of vehicle traffic, this product has been formulated to be used over a wide range of soil types with optimal penetration and binding abilities. B-FUSE provides a well-bound substrate when multiple coats have been applied. The product can be used on primary, and secondary haulage roads.

Bio-Fusion has some moisture-retaining capabilities, which can help to dampen the road surface and reduce dust generation. B-FUSE can be applied to the road surface using various methods, such as spraying or surface application. Spraying is commonly employed, where specialized equipment like water trucks or sprayers can distribute the product onto the road. Surface application involves spreading the product directly over the road surface, followed by compaction.
The frequency of reapplication depends on site-specific conditions and the desired level of dust suppression.
B-FUSE can effectively suppress dust by utilizing its moisture-retaining and binding properties. When applied to the road surface, it absorbs moisture from the air and forms a thin film over the surface and dust particles. This film acts as a binding agent, agglomerating the dust particles and reducing their ability to become airborne. The moisture in the Bio-Fusion helps to increase the cohesion among the particles, further enhancing the dust suppression effect. Hence why B-FUSE is generally compatible with various road surfaces, including gravel, unpaved roads, or construction sites.
For haulage roads that are newly established, B-FUSE could be incorporated into the wearing course layer of the road. This happens through the process of scarifying, spraying, mixing, brooming, and rolling. 50-100mm of scarifying is recommended. This provides excellent dust control and sealing properties for the wearing course of the road.
Alternatively, temporary roads require a series of light dilutions, SPRAY-ON APPLICATIONS. Once applied the need for reapplication depends on reapplications based on factors like climatic conditions, traffic volume, frequency, and soil types (Sand, Clay, Loam, Chalk, etc.)
